Thank you for writing this blog for us curious followers. I've been struggling with chronic illness/conditions for years and it's really made chasing my own personal writing goals - VNs, novels, and translating - hard. I still am, but I'm only just getting my energy back enough to start seriously putting in the effort to push back on the lack of progress and consistent goals (even if they are small). Reading about the processes of the artists that I admire really helps give me a perspective and zeal to find my own routine, no matter the setbacks or the difficulties in admitting my limitations (and finding options for those days). I like flow charts too. I've used Scrapple in the past and lots of notes with numbering when I'm not on that program. I'm not good with draft writing, though I've used it sometimes when I had no choice in the past (when I ran out of time to finish my thought and usually didn't come back to it later). I want to go back to playing AND analyzing the works I enjoy. That strategy seemed to keep me going sometimes when writers block hit before illness took me. Hopefully I can find a way to be consistent in some way that starts to lead to progress.
With Changeling, you lured me in with the Fae and supernatural, charmed me with your lyrical reimagining of the folklore, myths, and legends. I was hooked on your storytelling, and I knew I was going to buy your next game. But Gilded Shadows completely blew me away with the scope and world-building. GS in particular has kept me up until the wee hours of the morning despite careful planning to stop multiple times. I was fascinated by all the little details that you came to understand from other routes and how everything is entwined together, despite all the routes you can take. It's inspiration and I can't wait to see what you do next.
I'll come back to this blog.
